Witchezz Brew Ball
Next Thursday 19th July, at Rye Wax in Peckham, London, the DJ Witchezz Brew is hosting a fundraising night raising money for safeline - a specialised charity working to prevent sexual abuse* and to support those affected in their recovery. This includes working with people whose mental health issues (manifesting for example as self-harming) suggest that they may be vulnerable to abuse.
The night will be fun and promotes a safe space for womxn, LGBTQ+ guests & PoC. It's been praised in places as an 'alternative pride night'. So if you're looking to celebrate, listen to some great DJ's and watch some great dancers, come down (£5 ticket adv on RA / £7 otd!) any time from 10pm - 2.30am.
- Zero tolerance for harassment of any kind including racism, ableism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, ageism and fatphobia.
- If you feel unsafe/unwell/uncomfortable, please alert security or anyone behind the DJ booth.
- Please respect peoples personal space and do not touch anyone without consent
Accessibility Info: The venue has quite a few steps down into it, it's a basement space (estimated about 10). The toilets are at the top of those stairs (i.e. as you're coming in off the alley) but there is a step into it. The CLF art cafe in general is wheelchair accessible and there is parking in copeland park. There is multiple bus routes right outside the CLF and the Overground operates opposite at Peckham Rye. There is seating, both in forms of picnic tables at one side and chairs with backs in the main space by the speakers. There will be loud music & alcohol.
